I got 170 on my LSAT, seems like my gpa will be around 3.3 when I start the application. Aiming T14.
Is taking same easy courses from different community colleges to boost my lsac gpa to 3.6 a good idea?

Thanks

This will only work if you havent graduated yet. Probably won't hurt

I think you haven't done the math on how many extra classes you would have to take to boost your gpa that much.

If you've already graduated, then it wouldn't work out for the fact that credits after your first bachelors degree don't count.

OP said "When I start my application" sounds like they're KJD and maybe planning on doubling up on CC classes along with normal college classes their senior year? Not sure on the GPA math, but I would think getting like 8 As in the fall of 2017 on LSAC would be a rather transparent attempt at gaming their GPA and would not show they could handle the rigor of law school so much as enroll in classes that do not require attendance, much less effort.

It works. Source: boosted gpa .2 by doing this. Also, could have probably just spent the time I spent doing worthless online CC classes studying for my LSAT and obtained a higher score

Eight As wouldn't even be enough. If you've got ~90 hours under your belt with a 3.3 average, it would take another 70 hours of 4.0 grades to get you up to an overall 3.6 GPA. So even if he can manage a 4.0 for his last 30 hours of "normal" college courses, he'd still need another 40 hours of CC classes on top of that, also with a 4.0 average.

As other have said the math is going to be such that you'd need a ton of hours to go from 3.3 to 3.6

Also, yeah, retaking the LSAT and allocating that time to prep would seem the better move IMO.

It will mean taking two years off and postponing graduation to boost your gpa. Im not sure if you could postpone graduation that long

I know people who have done this. Delay graduation by a year, pick up an easy minor or something (or switch to an easier major), profit.
