Just got my LSAT score today... 174. First take. Does that throw me out of the field for a full-ride at CCN, like Hamilton? Has anyone ever got a Hamilton/Vanderbilt/Ruby with my numbers (UGPA 4.0)?

I know it's crazy but I'm actually considering a retake (I'm quite debt averse). I was PTing around 177-178 but the test environment usually affects me a lot, besides I won't have much time to prepare, or any new PTs for that matter. So I doubt it would be a huge leap. Is 1-2 more pts worth the effort, in my case?

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

I mean, you're above both 75ths. You have as good of numbers as anyone.

Also, ugh, what the hell is with these threads?

My understanding is that you need at least a 180 LSAT and a 4.33 (repeating, of course) GPA to even stand a chance at a Hamilton. I mean, for heaven's sake, it's a hit Broadway show! You think they're just giving these away?

Based on what I've seen on LSN, people definitely get Hamilton/Ruby/Vanderbilt with a 174 and UGPA lower than yours.

ikr. Thanks for the insight. I guess I'll have to retake in October/December. Do you think I'll still make it to the March show? really can't wait till the next season.

Don't be paranoid you have great numbers! Get yours apps all buttoned up and get them in as early as you can. Apply to whole T14 and enjoy a great cycle. Consider writing any optional essays for the non T6 to avoid any YP waitlists (Penn is notorious for this). Best of luck OP

You've definitely got the numbers for the Ruby/Hamilton. Know people who snagged both with lower numbers. However, softs come into play here as well, so keep that mind.

so wait this isn't the thread about whether it's appropriate to wear home-made jorts to the hit Broadway musical?

I'd say 174/4.0 is in competition for a Hamilton fellowship.

I had a 175/3.91. I think as long as you're above both 75ths you're good.

I have no valuable input, just want to say we are in identical situations. Had to fight the urge to retake as well.

FWIW OP, I know someone who got a Ruby with your exact numbers, so your numbers definitely won't preclude you. They did have stellar softs and their PS was straight-up the best piece of writing I have ever read, so take this with a grain of salt.
