Top Law Schools

Hey everyone,

I just realized I'm eligible to retake the LSAT, and I'm planning on re-attending law school in August 2017.

I dropped out of law school in October due to personal reasons. Of course, I have no grades. Would retaking the LSAT be worthwhile, or will schools not really check my LSAT score now that I've already attended a school? Granted, I was only there for 2 months.

For admissions purposes, you essentially haven't really been to law school. No grades means no measure of how you actually did. You would be a new student, the new law school would have to report your LSAT, etc. so there's no downside in retaking it in your situation.

If you DID have 1 semester's worth of grades, then those would be taken into account, but again, if you were applying as a new student and not a transfer, then the same advice would hold.

Were you not offered a Leave of Absence (which would have allowed you to return without re-applying) or did you not want to attend that school ever, regardless?
