Can someone clear up the evaluation changes for me?

So I saw that on August 7th the evaluation service will be discontinued. Does this mean that if a professor does an evaluation for me before that, it won't matter since they will no longer be sent? Or are evaluations that have been completed prior to August 7th eligible to be sent?

No evaluations will be sent by lsac or accepted by a school for the 2016-2017 cycle.

People won't be able to use evaluations anymore this upcoming cycle, only LORs.
