I dropped out of law school, can I go back?

So here's the situation... I was at a top 30 lawschool for half of one semester. I dropped out because I wanted to do politics, but now I want to head back to law school. Does anyone know if t14 schools would even consider my application or if the having dropped out would really hurt me?

You can go back. You'll be considered as a new applicant and not a transfer or anything.
T14 will certainly consider you and probably not hold it against you so long as you show you're committed to law school this time around.
Definitely write an addendum.

Thanks! Yeah hoping that they look at it as a positive. Going back for the right reasons and all...

I had to leave a T7 school in the first week due to illness, for some schools the T7 gave me a bump but I definitely think the burden is on you to prove yourself committed. Admissions considers leaving law school for any reason as a cause for concern and definitely wants addendums etc to test/show your commitment.
