Who has left a good career for law school?

Hey Guys,
So has anyone here seriously left a good career/job to take a shot at law school and a law career? I am very hesitant to commit my application because of the uncertainty of the law field and the fear of leaving a secure job. I posted a while back of my situation and took the lsat scoring a 168. I have a very low gpa but 5 years of experience in the regulatory/biotech industry. I have gained alot of knowledge and respect in my company and am unsure if I should leave it for a shot at law. Without going into too much detail I am currently making ~$55,000 with alot of room for growth and a free masters that will be paid by the company. Leave it all behind for law school?
Can anyone can share their experience in leaving a good career for law? Would you go back if you could or was it/is it worth it?
Thanks
