FSU or UM?
So I'm still on hold at UF, which is obviously number 1. If I don't get in and I have to decide between FSU with no financial aid and UM with a half tuition scholarship.
Notes
-I want to practice in South Florida when I graduate
-Interested in family/criminal law and possibly the public service route
-If I go to UM, I would have to commute from my home in Broward County
-Gator undergrad hesitant to move to Tallahassee

It sounds like you are presently leaning toward UM. Have you run the numbers for estimated cost of attendance? Will you be financing with loans or family/savings?

How much will FSU and UM each cost? I assume that, even though FSU gave you no scholarship, you'll get an in-state tuition discount?

Re: FSU or UM?
Posting your COA at both schools will help us help you. WIth that said, I'm thinking that FSU will be the better option here even if it is 10k ish more a year. I am a 0L so take this with a grain of salt, but FSU seems to have better employment opportunities especially in the public sector (if you choose that route)

FSU: about $21,000/year (in state) plus housing
Miami: $24,000/year living at home and commuting

I would go to UM. FSU will end up being like 10k/year more and will probably provide less opportunities in SoFla than UM.meyer2016 wrote:FSU: about $21,000/year (in state) plus housing

Really late to the party here but I'm interested to know which school you picked?
Also, I'm very curious to know what were your stats. Mind sharing?
