Miserable cycle for international students?

Is it true that this cycle has been particularly miserable for the international students?(with no numerical gpa)

It truly depends on the application cycle and how competitive it is that year. Application cycles fluctuate each term which could be the reason for the comment on international students. It also depends on the specific university.

It's been a weird cycle all around. First time in six years that the number of applicants was increasing. Definitely a rough cycle for those who applied late.
