MBA effects on admission to law school

Hello,
I am applying to business school to get my mba and would like to know if this will help me get into law school. I have two prior law schools on my application and I have received 10 W's. What chances do I have for admission into a gmat program and what chances would I have at law school admissions after completion of the mba?

I have an M7 MBA and I don't think it helped me at all. I got pretty much where one would expect my stats and URM status to get me.
I did have to explain why I wanted a law degree when I already had an MBA. So, I ask this to you: why do you want to get an MBA and then a law degree? I hope you aren't pursuing the MBA just to get into law school later.

I want to get an mba so that I have less trouble finding work In the interim. I already have two interviews with my mba on my resume. I cant land interviews with just an accounting degree

What? You put an MBA on your resume when you aren't even in a program yet?

My hopes are high for this thread. DaRascal hasn't posted for months and someone needs to fill the vacuum. I don't care if it's real or not.

I have to take it back, I'm sorry. Your MBA acceptance, regardless of where it is, will guarantee you a 10-12 point boost in how schools will look at your LSAT. Good job!

I am concerned about how they will look at my prior law schools

Won't matter. You have been admitted to an MBA program. It's well known that even the most mediocre and fraudulent MBA program still has admission standards that make getting in a mark of incredible distinction. It will essentially erase your prior troubles in law school.

I know you have two prior law schools on your application but how many prior law schools did you actually attend? Gotta be more than 2.

It all really depends on these two prior law schools. If they are tier 3 toilets, then you probably have a 5-point boost on the LSAT. If they are not, then it is a 10-point increase. These are both great outcomes; congratulations!

You couldn't land interviews with just an accounting degree? Why's that? I have an accounting degree and finding a job has never been difficult, and I went to a small school. It'd seem to me having an audit or tax background would be great when looking for law jobs.

I can't figure out if this guy is a troll or the most incompetent person to ever grace these fora.

When applying to law schools, having additional degrees, certifications, or licenses does not necessarily help or hurt your application. As for a post-bachelor degree, it may help with GPA calculations, but overall having an MBA does not necessarily help with admissions.
Law schools review a student’s application as whole, which includes GPA, LSAT scores, personal statement, supplemental application, and letters of recommendation. You may need to include in your supplemental application or personal statement as to why you what to obtain a JD degree and how you will use your JD given your educational background.

can you say which M7 and why you'd do law after it? hs and to some extent W are more difficult to get in.

I'm going to disappoint you, so apologies in advance.
1. Come now, if I went to HSW, I'd have said I went to HSW. So, leave it at I went to a non HSW school in the M7.
2. I want to do law because what I want to do with the next stage of my career/life requires me getting a law degree. I don't have any better explanation than that.
3. And of course what I said about the LSAT isn't true. Just coming around late to TLS' favorite troll, john1990.

I don't get why john#s and BlueManali ask so many questions. They each have like 17 years of applying to/attending/transferring to/dropping out of/reapplying to law school. They have all the experience and expertise, they should be running the damn site and offering their expertise, not asking the questions.

were you able to make use of your mba degree before beginning law studies? $200k plus opportunity cost could be a lot to drop for a degree that you plan to not use.
college major and work ex? i assume you had required background for m7 as the admission is highly dependent on work preftige.

LOL...why are you asking these questions as if I am not fully aware of any and all parameters of what I'm up to? I'm the MBA, remember. Clearly, I'm not making a financial investment and remind me of where I asked you for advice about what I'm doing.
