Commitment Overlap Reports?

I've found some information about how these work, Spivey has an article that seems to be the most up-to-date here: http://blog.spiveyconsulting.com/the-mu ... ot-happen/ but I have a question about them.

Are these reports only available to schools that have received a seat deposit? In other words, if I've made a seat deposit at one school, but I'm still waiting to hear admission decisions from a few other schools, can those other schools access the Commitment Overlap Report from the LSAC to see that I've made that one deposit? If so, that would clearly hurt my chances of admission to those schools, since they'll assume I'm very committed to that one school.

Spivey says, "schools you have deposited to" so I think they are the only ones who can run that sort of report on you.

I hope that's true. I had admission decisions coming through nicely, then I paid a deposit somewhere to help with a scholarship negotiation, and now I haven't heard anything from the six schools I have left for several weeks. Just wondered if the deposit might have had any influence. Probably not, I guess.

Thanks

Only schools you have deposited to and usually about 15-30 days after that deposit is when the first search is run.

Awesome, thanks Mike!!

Figured this was the case, and I was just being paranoid. But what kind of law school applicant would I be if I wasn't concerned about stupid stuff in early March?!
