Calling a school

Would it do any good to call the admissions department and request a meeting or ask for a quick chat. I am currently awaiting the decision and would really like to go to BC, but came in 10 points under what they usually look for on the LSAT (according to reports I've seen on LSN and LSAC). MY GPA is good and I have a lot of work experience, as I will be a non-traditional student. Would it be a good idea to call and offer up some sort of explanation about the test, or just let it be and see where the chips fall?

If you wanted to explain your score on the test, you could have submitted an addendum (or could still submit one, if you had new Feb scores or something). I'm not an adcomm so those with more experience should feel free to correct me, but I guess I wonder how the admissions department would feel if everyone still waiting on their decision wanted to call/meet to explain something about their application.

Just retake if you want to get in

A call/addendum isn't going to make a difference IMO

Oh, it probably won't - but an addendum is going to annoy adcomms less than a call.

Do not call. It is certain to get you remembered in not a good way. Agree that if you must communicate, the addendum is your best move, but really the best thing to do is just take the test again, as Zuck says.

However, maybe you'll get in. Who knows?

For sure, I totally agree

Thanks for the responses. I was thinking of the addendum route and then all the applications went out after the LSAT since I had them all completed and ready to go. I was curious whether it would show them initiative, or just annoy them. You answered that for me. I may take the test again if I do not get in.
