I'm sure this has been covered before, but would a school hold reapplying against you? My stats wouldn't change; I'd just be applying as soon as the cycle begins. If they reject me late in this cycle, would they be more likely to reject me again just because I was already rejected with those stats?

I have a sincere question because I really don't know. Why would you re-apply with the same stats that got you rejected the first time? I mean, what will change in their decision making? Just curious, because I have some re-apply questions right now myself.

As someone who is currently in the midst of my second application cycle, I would say that I was not penalized at all for reapplying. However, I think O.J.'s question is important. You should should do something to improve your application between cycles. It can be the LSAT, a new internship/job, etc., but don't apply a second time with the expectation of a different result if you haven't changed anything on your end.

Applying too late could be a factor, though doubtful it is in this case if OP has applied by this point. So if you apply in April and get rejected, it's possible to apply in November/Dec and get accepted with the same numbers. You do want at least a different PS or some supplemental materials. But usually people reapply with improved GPA/LSAT scores. (pretty much scooped on this point)

As to your question in your thread OJ (not to derail), December/January is not "too late". If it was, all the December takers would be screwed. By Thanksgiving is generally recognized as the "early" metric. If you apply before Thanksgiving, you are early. If you apply after the December scores are released, you are still in a solid time-frame. Anything getting into late January into February is later (but still not the worst case), and March-July is [wait a cycle] late.

I did better the second time around, even with same stats applying to same schools (apps were earlier). I really don't think they care if it's just one reapplication.
