Hello,

I am a current junior at The Ohio State University majoring in business logistics at the Fisher College of Business. I have taken classes from all over, including high-school college credit and summer classes at local community colleges. My overall GPA from all of my college credit is a 3.25 and I took the LSAT very early and received a 155. I also work part time during the school year and full time over the summer as a Loan Originator in Columbus. What are your opinions on my chances of getting into Cleveland State Law School(3.36/153 median)?

Thanks for the input,

if your goal is ohio state with those numbers, you're looking at about a 161-163 LSAT to get your shot to a reasonably confident level

You can go to mylsn.info, lawschoolnumbers.com, and lsac.org to give you a better idea on where you stand.

You are in a great place because you still have time to improve your GPA to make you more competitive.

Spend some time thinking about the cost vs. benefit of retaking the LSAT. Use the above websites to play with your numbers. It is surprising how a small bump in your LSAT or GPA can translate into a big bump in acceptances and scholarship amounts.

Good luck!

You may also want to look at lawschooltransparency.com's school reports to see the employment outcomes from Cleveland State, to make sure they match with what you hope to get out of law school.

Whatever you decided to do, you need to get your LSAT up to the 160s. With a 3.25 / 160+ you'll likely get a lot of scholarship money from Cleveland State. Take a class, hire a tutor, do everything etc. because even if you improve a couple points, you'll get back the value you spend on LSAT preparation from scholarships. You'll thank yourself years from now when you graduate law school and have trouble finding a job immediately.

Any particular reason? Cleaveland state has some pretty atrocious employment numbers. Less than half of their grads get jobs after graduation.

Why not just study for the LSAT, up your score a bit, and shoot for OSU/Moritz? That gives you a much better shot of getting a good job out of school.

I am very close with the partner of a huge law firm in Cleveland... All I have to do is get into the law school in order to get a job at the law firm.

I would still advise retaking the LSAT to get more scholarship money.

You also need to pass the bar. And some schools prepare you much better than others
