I managed to forget to say "yes" to certain schools' inquiries regarding non-criminal violations such as minor parking or traffic violations, and because I sent out my applications this past Monday, I'd like to send the schools an updated disclosure as soon as possible stating the violations I have.

My question is how should I pose a speeding ticket that was reduced to a parking violation? Do I state that I received a parking ticket or do I state that it was a speeding violation reduced to a parking violation? In addition, I believe I've received two tickets on separate occasions for not having proof of insurance in my vehicle. Both tickets were dismissed once I provided evidence of having insurance at the time. Do I state this as well?

I ordered an abstract of my driving record, but there was nothing on it. I also tried to find the tickets I received via an online search on the county court website, but the site said they couldn't be found. How would one recommend acquiring the specifics for these violations?

If you've done a thorough search and not found anything, I'd self-report what you understand to have happened. You can even say you did the search, and in spite of that you recall a few incidents that for whatever reason don't show up. Just describe them like you did here, give dates as you recall. Should be totally chill.

This is the correct answer. From our perspective, the fact that no records can be found does not mean it never happened. And most of the time the question is not "Is there a record of..." but "Did you do it?"
