Very hard to say. For reasons that shouldn't surprise you, UMN doesn't get a ton of AA applicants, so the available mylsn data is pretty sparse so I can't really see if they show a YP pattern (i.e. if they were w/l 3.5+/165+ AA's). With your numbers you should probably expect a scattershot of results--you'll get into a handful of T14s, get straight rejected by some and get non-YP w/l from some as well.urmstudent12 wrote:Hi,
any chance this is YP? Just seems from what I've read on here it should be a school that I wouldn't have any trouble getting into.
Paid admissions company to go through my app with me and said my essay was excellent so shouldn't be any issues there. Wrote a diversity statement.

Either way, unless UMN was the only school you could see yourself going to, don't stress yourself out! Good news will be coming!
Don't stress! It's going to be okay. Were you able to apply widely? The more schools in the T14+ UT, V, Wash U, etc. you apply to the better your chances of getting some great acceptances and money. I'm not joking about you applying at least everywhere from and including CCN down. Plenty of folks have gotten Columbia and NYU with your profile.urmstudent12 wrote:Thank you for the feedback. Yes first non-acceptance of the cycle just freaking out a little. As soon as I get into a higher ranked school I will forget this happened. No idea how long that may take though. In at a school ranked 22. 20 would have felt nice.fliptrip wrote:Very hard to say.
