172/Will retake in February. Do I need to ask CCN to proceed with my current application?

Hi all! Thanks in advance for you advice.
I scored 172 in December but register to retake in February. Since I made several bubbling mistakes in December and given my PT average (177+), I think I can resonably expect a 175+ in February. I aim for T6 and have submitted all the apps. I know 172 is not enough to get me into YHS and will probably ask them to hold my profile.
Now my question is: is it wise to ask CCN to proceed with my current number, or hold until the Feb score is released? A tradeoff between a "not-that-high" score and a better score but late application. Or in other words, is 172 a safe point to CCN? Look forward for your opinions.

BTW I am an international so I don't have an undergrad GPA. What I have is a Superior in the evaluation for my foreign transcript for a top school in my country. I do have a graduate GPA around 4.2 at Cornell. Average softs but strong LORs. Probably unable to sit for the next cycle. Thanks again.

Based on their websites, it doesn't look like H and S accept the February 2016 LSAT for this year, so it might be worth it to check with them if you are retaking to see if they will take the score for this year. Y says on their website that they accept February 2016 for this year.

Your LSAT is at or above the 75th for NYU and Chicago and above the median for Columbia, which is generally a good place to be. Not sure how being an international will affect your chances though so hopefully someone else can chime in to give you a little better idea regarding your chances

The only reason I can see for holding your CCN apps until you get a Feb score would be if there was a chance that they would review your application and reject you before Feb scores come out. This will not happen. You will probably get admitted to at least one of CCN (if not all). Worst case scenario, you will get deferred or waitlisted, and a higher Feb score will likely get you in. Others can correct me if my reasoning is off.
