Thought I'd share this and get all your thoughts.

According to the author, you get a BOOST from ED NU. Yes, the ED that gets you the 150k scholly im not sure what sources are used.

Bear in mind, ANYONE accepted by ED program gets 150k.

Is this article mistaken? Any truth to it? What does it take to get in ED?

According to my LSN I have an 80% chance of acceptance regular decision but im compative for the splitter friendly CCN schools so I'll probablyED NU

It's a boost if you're held from ED and put into the regular decision pool. But ED NU is extremely competitive due to the scholarship.

It's not like other schools' Ed cuz it comes with a full ride attactxhed. Borderline candidates aren't competitive for it so they don't apply. the people who apply are strong candidates who are likely to get in rd. it looks like you get a boost, but you don't.

I think the numbers are a little deceiving in that a decent amount of people with ED competitive numbers can get waitlisted if they don't look like they're seriously considering NU. I don't know if I'd call the ED "extremely" competitive, at least in comparison to the $$$ you get.. but it's still more competitive, in that generally the ED acceptances will be 3.5+ and 169+. A 170 and a 2.9 can get into NU, but that won't get the ED.

From what I remember, a 3.5+ GPA with a 170+ LSAT seemed to be pretty much a lock for ED. The RD acceptances with those numbers usually got more like 90k in scholarship money instead of the 150k.

Think there's any chance for a 3.4 174?

I emailed NU about how competitive it is but have received no answer

Might as well. What do you have to lose? You won't get a full ride anywhere in the T14 unless it is this. I know someone who got in with similar stats the first year the scholarship was attached, but it may have become more competitive since then.
