Thanks! Yeah I just rewrote it before posting this and have already condensed quite a bit, down to just over a page, so it'll be tough to get that last 1/4 out to get it to a single page. Hahah I mean I'm not an expert, but I know a decent amount about Britain's political and military history, as well as lots of stuff about British cultural history. I don't think you have to be an expert in something to be interested in it, yeah?rnoodles22 wrote:It's long. You should condense it. Also, british history? Do you really know enough about British history to be able to talk about it at length if it comes up, or do you just know what you learned in class and plan to regurgitate that as a lecture in an interview if it comes up?
Don't mean to be harsh, just trying to help. Good luck!
I'm not sure how it would really matter in the admissions context, but I put a more specific history interest on my resume and on several occasions got really detailed, genuinely hard questions about it in job interviews. It seemed like some interviewers were trying to see if I actually knew a lot about the subject or not.rossco9 wrote:Thanks!
