LoR Prefix Issue

One of my recommenders just submitted his letter, but upon looking at his profile, the prefix for him says "Mr." instead of "Dr."

I am 95% sure that I entered "Dr." instead of "Mr." (I probably would have noticed this error earlier if I didn't because I've been to the page a number of times since asking for the letter. Plus, I entered "Dr." for all the rest.)

Is it possible that the recommender changed his prefix to "Mr." in the LSAC for some reason? He is in fact a PhD, but I know some people prefer to be called "Mr." instead.

I have emailed him to clarify whether he did this, but does anyone know if it's possible for a recommender to edit their info on LSAC?

Thanks in advance.

They can edit their names/titles, and one of my recommenders edited hers.

Pretty sure this means an auto-ding for you everywhere, OP. Nobody wants to be addressed with "Dr." when all they have is a petty "not that kind of doctor" degree.

It's funny, but I had the same thing happen. Both of my recommenders are PhDs. The first guy I asked, I entered "Dr. _______" and he changed it to "Professor _______". So thinking that in general people prefer Professor on there, for the next guy I put "Professor _______". Of course, he changed it to "Dr. ________, PhD, MBA."

People are funny.

Lol. He actually does have a PhD, so he is a "Dr." He emailed saying that he doesn't mind at all (I believe him). Maybe he did edit it, as the others have implied is possible.
