Study Abroad? There are some places you have to get those transcripts from.

Just a little PSA. The other day I posted an LSAC transcript summarization question. Long story short I called LSAC to say I thought they made a mistake not including some of my grades from studying abroad in my academic summary report. They conceded this point, as the grades from the American University in Cairo appeared as letter grades on my transcript. However, the mistake needed to be remedied though a transcript request from AUC. They could not transfer the grades directly from my undergraduate institution's transcript. I told them I had read on their website that I had been advised I did not need to request transcripts from non-US institutions at which I studied for less than a year. LSAC told me that was correct, but there are 8 or 9 international institutions LSAC considers to be domestic institutions and from which transcripts must be requested. This is listed not explained on their website They sent me an email informing me that I needed to request that transcript and 300 Egyptian pounds later it is on its way to LSAC.
Unfortunately I do not know the names of the 7 or 8 institutions besides the American University in Cairo. If you attended a non-US institution while studying abroad and received actual letter grades from that institution you might want to call LSAC to check in.
