Hi everybody,
As an international applicant i wonder wether i should pass the LSAT or the TOEFL because it seems that a lot of law school requires at least the TOEFL for international applicant.
What should i do ?

I'm pretty sure in the majority of cases, with a solid LSAT score you don't need to take TOEFL.

Ok, cause i see on nyu law school they say they would only accept the TOEFL for international applicant that maybe mean they will not accept my LSAT score no matter how good or bad it is

Huh? No, LSAT is mandatory for all applicants for all schools (that are worth attending).
In the case of NYU, see here:
http://www.law.nyu.edu/sites/default/fi ... Report.pdf
There are 5 enrolled students without GPA, which is the category we fall into. Everyone needs an LSAT to be considered.
Regarding TOEFL, you may contact the school you are applying to to check whether they require it (and how high you need to score, if they do).

Yes, in any case, focus on the LSAT.
And I'm really pretty sure people from non English speaking countries get into T14 without TOEFL. That's a good thing in fact, because 1) LSAT is more "prestigious" than TOEFL LOL 2) there's no need to listen to lengthy and uninteresting speeches and speak uninteresting stuff to a machine.

Most schools do not require TOEFL. However, if my memory serves, chicago law is an exception. Be sure you are gonna search the information on the website or email the admission directly to confirm.

Duke is the only T14 that requires taking the TOEFL (which is the reason I didn't apply there). All schools require taking the LSAT.

I'm from a rainy, healthy, coffee-loving, liberal (except for their xenophobia) little corner of Europe.
And yeah OP if you think the TOEFL is too hard, law school in the US may not be the best plan.

If you're applying to the JD program, you need the LSAT for all schools but don't need the TOEFL for most of them.
If you're applying for an LLM it's the opposite, you'll need the TOEFL and won't need the LSAT.
That said, if you are somewhat decent at the LSAT, taking the TOEFL shouldn't be a problem. And I have been told by some schools that even if they don't require TOEFL, it's a good thing to have on your application, specially if your score is high.

What I did is I called the schools that required it and asked them if it would be possible to waive it. My TOEFL expired in October and I really didn't wanna take it again, and based on my 173 LSAT the admissions dean said they would waive it. So I think it's worth a shot calling the school and asking for a waiver! The worst they can do is say no
