Letter of Rec Question

So my 2nd letter of rec still hasn't shown up on LSAC yet. The professor who wrote it said that he mailed it on October 22nd. I'm starting to worry that he forgot to put the form in with the letter when he mailed it. Does anyone know if it normally takes this long to process letters sent via mail or should I go follow up tomorrow? Thanks

I wouldn't be worried yet. One of my recommenders submitted by snail mail, I can't remember exactly how long it took but it was at least a week or two. Wait until Friday and, if it still hasn't shown up, you might want to take action (call LSAC or tell your recommender to resend).

ETA: I assume tvu thought you mean he submitted by email. Obviously there's no way a mailed recommendation would be acknowledged as 'received' the same day it was sent.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the advice
