Re: should I retake the LSAT in Dec?
1. A higher score is better than being early in the cycle.
2. It's normal. Practice with recent PTs and simulate exam conditions, and don't be anxious on the exam day.
3. It's hard to say, but you can definitely score higher.
4. Both.
5. Not a stellar chance.
6. No, it's the same. The only bad thing is you can't learn from your specific mistakes.

Re: should I retake the LSAT in Dec?
No question you should take December. The schools already have a good idea of what their medians will be such that if you're looking at tier 1 schools or scholarship options then you won't lose much retaking. About 60% of test takers are between a 150 and 160 such that the 5 point jump you're speaking about is probably the most valuable 5 points on the entire curve. Ideally, you should really wait until you improve 10+ points, but as between a 160 and 155 being worth the additional 2 months in a rolling admissions system, there's no question that it is.
