Hello,
I have a 3.9 LSAC GPA and scored 164 on June LSAT. I retook in October and am hoping to score between a 167-171. I'd like to go to a top 5 law school and have 2 years of work experience with pretty good undergrad extracurriculars. Do you think it is worth it to hire an admissions consultant? If so, any suggestions?

No. Just retake LSAT, score highly, and you'll be fine.

It's pretty late in the game for this cycle. The good one(s) fill up fast - I'd be very concerned about why others aren't at capacity yet.
Source: personal experience from last cycle.

You need to consult with a PowerScore, Manhattan/TestMasters or other LSAT prep book/course as well as with LSAT practice tests.
It appears that you understand your strengths--3.9 GPA & two years of post-undergraduate work experience. If aiming for a T-5 law school, you weakness is your LSAT score of 164. You need to increase your LSAT by a minimum of 4 points & increase your list of targeted law schools to include most or all of the T-14. With a 3.9 GPA, an LSAT score of 168 & 2 years work experience, you should receive scholarship offers from at least two Top 14 law schools. To be competitive for the T-5 law schools, you probably need to break 170 on the LSAT unless you have URM status.
