I am currently an undergrad college student in my junior year. I have been studying for my LSAT for around a year (since my sophomore year) and I'm looking to take my LSAT for the first time in June. Am I starting to prep too early? Also, when is a good time to start seriously looking around at schools, I've been researching for a few months, but am looking to visit a few schools an hour away from me in NYC. I'd like to start visiting ASAP, but don't want my early visit to be taken less seriously since I haven't taken my first LSAT. Appreciate any feedback in advanced!

I would advise not going out of your way to visit schools until accepted students weekend, then you're already in, maybe have an aid/scholarship offer, and they will pay for your travel.

what about attending a forum? is it too early for that?
also, getting the school to pay for travel isn't needed since I live around 45/1 hour from all the schools I would be visiting/ultimately applying to.

In general, it is never too early to prepare for any entrance exam or board exam, especially if you are a student who likes to spread the study period out instead of cramming. It also depends on what score you are aiming for and how much preparation is needed to obtain that score. Some student need a few months of preparation, while others may only need a month or two. It truly depends on the student.

In terms of visiting schools, it might be best to wait for acceptance letters before actually seeing the campus. This will eliminate travel costs and will prevent getting disappointed in the event things do not end up working out for that particular school.

You may still attend a forum, do some research, and ask colleagues and attorneys their suggestions and opinions as well.

Sort of pointless until you have at the very least an LSAT/GPA. And even then your choice of school will likely decide itself from your aid/scholarships (eg if you get 90k from NYU and nothing from Columbia obviously it will be NYU)

Also I and most others will recommend working after graduation, which would give you more time to visit cities with major schools in them

ETA forums are basically worthless, you find all relevant info on TLS, their website, LST etc.
