Model yours after the 1L samples.

If that section would say something that you believe would be relevant to share with potential employers, go for it. Looked like the resume posted above included that section. It is only a line or two, but maybe you want to use that line or two for something else on your page.lawman84 wrote:Not to hijack the thread but I'm debating whether or not to put interests on my resume. Any thoughts on it?
It doesn't matter much for admissions, but you will be pretty much expected to have it on there at some point in 1L when you start looking for your summer job. Might as well do it now.lawman84 wrote:Not to hijack the thread but I'm debating whether or not to put interests on my resume. Any thoughts on it?
I've already finished 1L year. I can make it fit although I don't have an abundance of room. I am curious if people think it's important.rinkrat19 wrote:It doesn't matter much for admissions, but you will be pretty much expected to have it on there at some point in 1L when you start looking for your summer job. Look at the amount of stuff I fit on one page. You can spare the single line for interests.
It's kind of expected, especially by firms, for interviewing. I'm surprised your OCS didn't recommend it. It's a useful way for interviewers to start conversations and get a feel for you.lawman84 wrote:I've already finished 1L year. I can make it fit although I don't have an abundance of room. Fair point. I'll put it on there then.rinkrat19 wrote:It's kind of expected, especially by firms, for interviewing. I'm surprised your OCS didn't recommend it. It's a useful way for interviewers to start conversations and get a feel for you.
Don't need em for law school.shump92 wrote:I'm just curious on this. At what point in time do your references no longer need to be on your resume? Coming out of UG, I still have them there because when I have needed to submit my resume before, I was not necessarily given a separate way to provide my references. I don't have much WE yet so I know that once that section starts to grow, I will have to cut back somewhere and my references would be the easiest spot.
