Standard, quick question about GPA

Hi all - sorry if you've answered this 100 times but I'm betting that there may be responses other than just "use the searchbar."
Is a 3.86 GPA from a top liberal arts school (#11 in the country) looked upon especially well, for instance as opposed to a 3.86 from a school ranked, say, 50th? How much does undergrad institution affect your competitiveness? Specifically at HYS.
Thanks for any responses (even "use the searchbar")!

In case you don't want to read through all that (kick ass list by the way!), no it doesn't. At least not significantly for most schools. Maybe a HYP graduate with a 4.0 is looked upon more favorably than a X State graduate with a 3.9, but at the end of the day a 4.0 is still a 4.0 and a 3.9 is still a 3.9. Study up and raise the GPA if you can, otherwise good luck!

Did I say it was? Is a rank of #11 not "top liberal arts school" enough for you? Why are you here?

Also, didn't mean to be obnoxious with the long list. It's a reasonable question, it just comes up...a lot.

It's not going to matter compared to a school ranked 250th
