I saw someone comment on having a running list in another thread so I am going to start one here. I will only include fairly well known schools that I had heard about before signing up for CRS. If people want to help this thread have a comprehensive list please copy my formatting below.

University of Pittsburgh: July 9th
Georgetown: July 8th
South Carolnia: July 8th
UMass: July 8th
St. Johns: July 7th
University of Miami: July 8th
Penn State: July 6th
Seton Hall: July 6th

Please don't pay attention to fee waivers.

Yeah Columbia and NYU gave me a fee waiver the day after I applied to them, still a little annoyed by it. (although NYU gave me a refund which was really nice of them)

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that don't pay attention to fee waivers means don't make a thread about it.

If you want a fee waiver and don't get one, email admissions. There is no information to be gained by sharing when fee waiver emails have been sent out via the CRS. They will be sent out continuously.

HYS are too good for fee waivers, Berkeley is too cool, and Michigan is too aloof

Yes and you also want to be signed up for the free CRS.

What are the typical stats needed for a fee waiver from the t14?

I emailed every school I applied to asking for a fee waiver. Every school from Cornell down granted me one (Except Texas I think).

It is awkward, but oh well. Money is great and you can make $100 in about 5 minutes and that's awesome. Something like this worked for me

Dear admissions committee,

I am very interested in applying to [law school], but the cost of law school applications is a concern for me, and I would like an application fee waiver if that's possible.

My undergraduate GPA is [gpa] and I recently received an LSAT score of [1XX].

obviously the spelling and grammar and punctuation need to be perfect, I'm half-assing it for the board.

Once you write one, just change the law school name for every law school you're thinking about applying to. Some schools specifically state on their website that they don't do fee waivers, so you should skim the FAQs and make sure they're not one of those schools. If someone made a list of them that would be awesome.

I think BU doesn't give them out IIRC but that's the only place I remember because I just didn't apply there as a result (not the range I was targeting anyway).

Ugh scholarships are terrible. Especially terrible is turning down scholarships you negotiated hard for because you like another school better. In comparison this is pretty easy. Churn them out in 20 minutes and never think about it again. They certainly won't think about it unless you're egregiously an asshole or send an animated squeeing gif or something equally crazy.

Definitely worth it. My roommate went to a better UG, had the same LSAT score, and had 0.2 higher GPA than I did. He's paying north of 10k per year to attend while I'm on a full ride AND GETTING 3k a year from the school.
