Legal troubles

Post by Begone » Thu Jul 02, 2015 10:55 am

In high school I got a DUI in which I pleaded no contest and had to do community service. I think it was eventually expunged. Will this be a problem at all? In either law school admissions or becoming a lawyer.

You'll be fine. Just make sure you disclose every piece of criminal and traffic history.

Make sure you fully disclose it on your applications and write an addendum explaining what happened, show remorse, and ideally show that you've done something or have something to prove that you've changed since then and that something similar wouldn't happen again.
