I am currently signed up for the December administration of the LSAT.

I know this puts me behind in the optimal timeline for the application process and I was thinking of ways to have everything ready to go the second I get my score back.

My question is:

Is it acceptable to submit applications without an LSAT score and then just have the score sent to the schools through LSAC after the test? Or do I hold off and complete all the applications with the official score once I receive it?

Yes, submit your application before the LSAT. Your application won't be complete, so most schools won't look at it. But having your application submitted means that as soon as your LSAT score comes back, your application will complete. I did this (February LSAT taker this past year -- submitted application right before I took the test).

Does that work even for the first LSAT though? I was under the impression you couldn't submit until you have at least one score on file.

It works. You fill something out as to when you will be taking the test. You apply, but they just don't review.

There's no real benefit in applying without a score. If you fall short of your target score, you're out a whole lot of application $$.
