Advice Requested

Hi All,

Thanks in advance for any advice you are willing to share. A few facts:

1. Went to good state school and have been working in finance for 3 years (CPA).
2. Took LSAT in October 2011, scored between 164-166. UGPA is 3.9

Questions:

1. Will law schools see my old score if I'm planning on retaking the LSAT this coming October and apply to schools shortly thereafter? Wondering if I should wait to apply given the new rule on scores older than 5 years.
2. What score do you think I need to break into the top 14? I have a solid job and would only be worth going to school if prospects were substantially better (though I do think I will enjoy the study of law immensely regardless).

I would appreciate any and all thoughts. Happy to provide further info.

My understanding is that the score still shows, but I doubt that the old score would matter much to most people.

You may want to ask those who have actually spent time looking at the LSAC applications, such as those answering questions on the Spivey thread

ETA:

To see the reported success that others have had with given GPAs/LSATs at various schools, you might want to take a look at:
