I've been accepted at a school that I would seriously consider attending, but still have apps out and going out to schools that I would probably attend if accepted. The school that I was accepted to wants the seat deposit by 5/5, but I don't think I'll have made a decision by then. Is the deposit deadline set in stone or required immediately?

You can ask that they give you an extension for the deposit or reduce the amount of the deposit. This seems to depend on the actual school (WUSTL has an early deposit deadline but will give extensions, for example).
