LSAC GPA question

Are courses worth 0 credit hours factored in LSAC's GPA calculation? I have an F from a P/F course that counts for 0 hours regardless of whether you pass or fail it.

I would guess this would not count in your LSAC GPA (I don't see how it could since the math wouldn't add up).

Strange situation, so I definitely recommend contacting LSAC directly. They're super helpful (I've called them like 3 times about my own transcript questions).

EDIT: Actually forgot to say what I was going to. I know that any P does not count toward your LSAC GPA, but a F does. Then again the situation is strange because your class is worth 0 credits, and I've only ever heard of that situation mentioned earlier applying to 1 credit+ classes. So definitely call LSAC.

I had this problem. My schools reports only earned hours on the transcript. So beside all my F's the number of credits was 0. But it reality the classes were worth 3 credits in the school bulletin. Just not on my transcript. So even if it says 0 on your transcript you should check in your schools course catalogue. If it's 0 there too then you're fine. Lsac won't count it.

Thanks for responses. I called LSAC today and they told me that even though the course counts for 0 hours, they will still count it in.

Ah man, good luck anyways! Got you in my prayers. And maybe you could include an addendum of some kind explaining the grade?

Yeah, definitely going to add an addendum.. I will probably still be above median for my target schools, but it would have been great to have a stellar lsdas gpa rather than a good, slightly tarnished one :|
Thanks for your concern, rnoodles!
