Will an insurance-related traffic violation impede me?

I was recently confronted by the police on the highway, ironically after getting rear-ended, and it was determined my insurance policy had expired a couple of days before (stupid, I know), and my car was impounded. I took care of everything the very next day and promptly showed up in court two weeks later, pleaded no contest and paid my $300 fine. Now, this was in Georgia, and this particular offense qualifies as misdemeanor. I know it was pure carelessness on my part, even if a simple miscalculation, but I was wondering if his will affect me in my application processes for law school and the TRIALS program?

No. Disclose and you'll be fine.
