My Sept. LSAT score was pretty horrid and I am retaking in Feb. I plan to apply now, ask to have my applications held and then the Feb. score will report once it is in and my apps have already been submitted.I am just curious if the feb. lsat score can be used in determining an admissions decision or is it solely useful to hold your application in order to negotiate scholarships?

It doesn't really do you much good to submit and tell them to hold - they might not honor the request . much better to submit the second you receive February scores. Depending on where you are applying, your chances of bring admitted with Feb scores are not great.

Its mostly for scholly negotiation. However, most schools SAY they take a February score. So I mean, you can apply. It just lowers your chances of admission. If its a significant change, then ya it'll help for sure.

In the T14 I can tell you for sure that H, S, and NYU don't take Feb. CC both do and say it disadvantages you, as does Berkeley. Check, it really does vary by school.
