I no longer remember the specifics beyond the fine and community service. I'm not sure of the citation, although it is probably of truancy. I have no paperwork or even a recollection of the location of the courthouse. I had forgotten about it until one of the C&F questions mentioned juvenile misdemeanors. I have never had any other troubles besides cutting 4th period in high school. Not even parking or traffic violations. It's been seven years.
And here come the barrage of questions:
I am understanding that I should disclose this incident (right?). But could this hurt my chances at law school? Will I be required to submit documentation? Because I don't have anything. Where can I even request paperwork? I don't even live in that area anymore. Do I ask my high school? Police department? The court? I have no idea.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
Whoa whoa whoa slow the fuck down. You went to COURT for skipping a class lol

Were you doing anything while you were skipping that might explain why the school wouldn't deal with this internally? Was this a recurring issue?

I am going to throw in my uneducated opinion before I also comment on my amazement with the fact that you went to court/paid a fine for skipping a class. I would disclose it (always a little dangerous not to) but I would have no fear that an admissions office would penalize you for it (who doesn't skip classes?). As for paperwork, be detailed as you can in disclosure, but I would not worry about it unless requested by the school.

Write your PS about how it traumatized you and how you want to get a JD so you can reform education policy and abolish such draconian zero tolerance rules.
