3 vs 4 credit class impact on LSDAS GPA

Hello all, longtime lurker here. I recently transferred institutions and the standard number of credits per class at the former (private research) was 4 vs 3 at the current (public). While this wouldn't affect my LSDAS average were I exclusively to attend either school, I'm curious if there will be a discrepancy in weight placed on individual classes according to their formula. As I'm obviously hoping for an upward trend in performance, I'd be concerned if my former grades weighed more heavily towards my final gpa. Thanks ahead for your feedback.

... thank you for gracing me with a response. So, first institution grades will count 1/4 more towards my gpa?

An old class will be worth 33% more than the current one.

The "credits" at your old institution may be based on the quarter system rather than the semester system. If that's the case, then they'll be identical in worth.

Would you be so kind as to tell me how to identify this? I have my first school's transcript in front of me.

Look it up. See if it says quarter system or semester system

If you registered 2x a year and had ~13 weeks of class, that's semesters. If you registered 3x a year and had 10 weeks of class, that's a quarter. (Also, aren't quarter system courses usually worth 3 credits and semester system courses worth 4?)

Ah, it's semester. Shame, I'm facing quite a drastic drop. Thank you again for your help, everyone.
