I'm really confused what the last question of the Emory application is talking about, anyone know what this means?

"Emory Law prefers to be free to inquire confidentially about information presented by you during the application process if the Admission Committee feels that further information is helpful to its evaluation of your file. You are not required to waive your right of access; however, under some circumstances, greater reliance may be placed upon an evaluation if it is made in confidence. If you have no objections, please initial here"

I said I have no objections but does anyone know what I'm agreeing to?

It's the same waiver you may have signed with your LORs. You are simply saying you waive the right to see what others say about you to the adcoms.

21% student funded positions. 75 transfers.
Pretty obvious rank gaming.

Also, competes with UGA.

That's because Emory is an expensive private school in expensive Atlanta vs an expensive state school in not as expensive Athens. According to LST numbers for the 2013 graduates, they places over twice the percentage of people than UGA did in firms 101+ attorneys. As you said, LST also said they have over 20% of school funded grads.

Nobody should go to Emory hoping to land a Biglaw job.
