Social Security Number Showing up as XXX-XX-XXXX

I submitted a few applications today and just realized that on some of my transmitted applications the social security # shows up as XXX-XX-XXXX, just like that and the on other ones it shows up as the actual number with the numbers shown, for example 123-45-6789. Am I doing something wrong with the ones where it is showing up as all X's or am I just worrying about nothing?
Any serious help is greatly appreciated.

Since no one answered your question, it's a security feature. The receiving party gets your social but if someone was stealing your wifi, they wouldn't see it for example. Schools have different IT setups so thats why it appears on some but not all.
