Addendum for college course taken in High School

Hi -

I took some college science courses while in high school and my understanding from LSAC is that I'm supposed to send those transcripts to them as well for my UGPA (correct?)

Overall that's a good thing because there were some As that will help my GPA - BUT there is one C+ that counts for 1.0 credit (a lab credit)....Should I write an addendum for this 1 credit while I was in high school?

My pre-law advisor says it's a moot point because I don't even need to submit the grades at all since the credit (but not the grade) is already included in my actual college GPA. I don't know if I agree with this - I thought LSAC was pretty clear about including every grade that was counted for Undergrad...?

I realize I'm asking a few questions here, please weigh in on all or what you can.

Wow. That is horrible advice given by the advisor. LSAC explicitly states to submit transcripts from all colleges, even if it was a single unit class back in high school.

Writing an addendum is laughable for this situation. Don't do it.

Did you take these high school courses at a school other than your current undergrad (at a community college for example)? If so, then you'll need to submit that transcript to LSAC.

Thanks everyone - the other thing I worry about is whether I'll have to many transcripts and Law Schools will wonder about me....

ie I have my college freshman year, the college I transferred to, the college courses I took while in high school from a 3rd university. And then summer courses I took at 2 other different universities.

Or is this nothing new to law schools since they know everything is required by LSAC?

That's a common undergrad history. It won't be looked upon negatively.

Agreed. Honestly, you don't have a good reason to write an addendum. Lots of people get Cs and you really only need an addendum if a special circumstance made you perform poorly.

Nothing new. During undergrad, I took online classes from like 4 different community colleges to knock out my General ed requirements for fraction of the price. Easy classes for sure, but ordering transcripts from each CC was a pain.
