Top Law Schools

Am I right in this logic? If, lets say for example, a school had 450 grads this year, and 50% got jobs as a JD nine months after graduation. If the school more than cut that in half, and by 2017 lets say 200 people graduated from the school, would the percentage of grads with a JD go up to ~75%? I know there are so many variables in play, but am just curious to hear peoples opinions on the effects of class size reduction. And id imagine you would take into account the other schools in the area with a declining class size affecting the employment outcome as well. Thanks!

In a few years, when these smaller classes start graduating, we may see higher percentages of students get jobs. But there is no way to know for sure. The rate of lawyer job creation is still very, very slow compared to the number of people enrolling.

Why 75%? Are you assuming that significantly fewer students would get jobs but that it would be a higher percentage? Or did you mean 100%?

Assuming firms hire the same amount of law grads and there are fewer law grads, yes, the percentage of law grads hired would go up.

For the schools that send students to big firms, yes. They need new bodies to do bitch work that they can bill out at a less unreasonable rate than they could a midlevel. You can contract out all bitch work.
