Top Law Schools

Hey guys,

I am currently in the process of applying to law schools. However, I am somewhat dissatisfied with my LSAT score. I took the test in June 2014 and got a 164. My GPA, however, is a 3.96.

I have already submitted applications for the 2014-2015 cycle. My questions are as follows:

(1) Should I take a year off and retake the LSAT?
(2) Does reapplying hurt one's application?

Almost no one should go to law school if they are dissatisfied with their LSAT score. You are K-JD right now? Absolutely take a year off, retaking the LSAT one of many reasons.

1) Retaking can only help. If you need to wait until next cycle to apply, so be it. You can still retake in February (& even June) for scholly negotiation if you're set on this cycle.
2) Absolutely not. You may need new LOR's (depending on school's policy) and a reworked PS though.
