Law School Application Class Rank

I'll try to keep this short. When filling out info for the CRS, I contacted my college's registrar about my class rank. The gal who contacted me back told me that my college no longer ranks their graduating classes but that she believed I was in the top 5%. Based on what she said, I didn't want to leave class rank blank on the CRS report, so I just decided to put down the top 5% without really thinking about it.

Now in filling out the applications, I'm wondering if I should leave the question about class rank blank? Or should I attach an addendum explaining what I did and why?

Any ideas?

I just left mine blank because my school doesn't rank. If you don't know for sure, I don't think you should put it. They're going to look at your GPA and that's what will matter more.

The last thing you want to do is write an addendum. You will come off as needlessly tedious. The people reading your application won't be double checking it against your CRS profile. Leave it blank and forget about it.

Leave it blank or put "N/A." Lots of schools don't rank, it's nbd. Making up a rank that you *think* you might be, especially one like top 5%, is not a good idea.
