I don't think it would matter at all. Think of all the people who go to law school because they got laid off in 2009.

A buddy of mine dropped out of high school, got his GED, worked as a waiter for 5 years, got fired, got his life together, went to a no name college, got a 4.0 in undergrad, 178 LSAT, and just graduated from Columbia Law with an offer from Cleary in NYC.
