Some of the posters on here are far more knowledgable than anything you will find from a service (and free!)

Personal statements --> show them to your family, friends, everyone that will read
Resume --> Your school's career services office (even as an alum)
Interviews --> Family and friends again, practicing with standard "Why X" questions

It is not at all necessary, but it's also not worthless. If you have disposable money it can be helpful and/or save you some time. Hardly anyone should feel at all compelled to do it

Mike and Karen seem knowledgable and experienced. If you have the cash to spend and want someone to really guide you through the process, might not be a bad idea to contact them.

Otherwise, most people here can answer the questions you have.

If you're competitive but not a lock for YHS/Full Rides at T14s, I would use it. A few thousand bucks now is worth it to get increased shot at best possible admissions outcome.

What are your stats and what schools are you aiming for?
