Howdy,

I have been a lurker for about a month now and decided I may as well use the fine people of TLS as a resource.


I am currently slightly below the 25% GPA for schools I am interested in applying to and just above their 75% LSAT. I have an upward trend for my GPA and if I were to wait for this semesters grades it would be stronger, but still under the 25% for my schools of interest. Would waiting for a slightly higher GPA (still under the 25%) do anything for me in terms of acceptance or possible scholarships? My research tells me it would not but I am looking for a second opinion on that.

Probably not. Taking an extra year to graduate and loading up on easy A classes might make a difference if that gets you above the 25%. Taking a few years off and getting work experience could also give you a small bump, especially at Northwestern.

Thanks for the reply. That is basically the conclusion I had come to as well.

Does the same idea apply to LSAT scores going the other way? If I am already above the 75% for a school would it be worth it for acceptance and scholarship opportunities to re take for a better score?
