Sending information to your letter writers

Post by 10ply » Sun Sep 14, 2014 10:36 am

What, if any, supplementary information are you sending to your reference letter writers? Transcripts, your LSAT score, resume, personal statement, any supplementary essays, all of the above?

I simply asked mine. No supplementary information, and they didn't ask for any.

I would just offer to send them a resume/transcript when you meet with them. If they don't know you super-well or haven't taught you in a few years it could be helpful. If you don't want to do it and they don't ask I wouldn't worry about it.

Sent my resume, and a general sense of which parts of my resume/personality I was trying to play up. Invited them to sit down and discuss my application if they saw me a bit differently than how I was trying to portray myself.
