Question: if you have legacy status at, say, the MD or MBA program for a particular school can you list that on JD apps? Would it be at all helpful?

I really only see it being helpful as something to write in a "Why X" essay to avoid yield protection.
As poster above said, you wouldn't outperform your numbers because of it.
