I have been accepted to the PEP program at Cooley. Any positive information to succeed in the program would be greatly appreciated.

It's a very competitive program. People are not inclined to believe you without some proof.

I have a great list of ten things that all law students should follow in order to succeed in class. I'm sure if you follow these rules you will be at least top 10% in Cooley, perhaps maybe even higher.

(1) Keep up with the reading/don’t fall behind.
(2) Go to class.
(3) Network/make friends.
(4) Maintain balance/have a life outside of law school.
(5) Get involved with things that interest you/student organizations.
(6) Don’t become obsessed with grades/become competitive.
(7) Relax/try not to stress.
(8) Maintain a healthy lifestyle (exercise and diet).
(9) Go to your professors’ office hours and ask questions.
(10) Don’t Facebook/surf the internet during class.

(1) Keep up with the reading/don’t fall behind. Almost everyone will do this their 1L year. At many TTTT's the professors assign a 1/3 or a 1/4 of what legitimate law schools do so even at places like Cooley, most students will do this
(2) Go to class. Most students do this. Going to every class is also not necessary. It's better to be "on" at 1/2 than everyone. There's no one class that's going to make/break everything if you know the concepts, and get the big picture
(3) Network/make friends. This is always good, but doesn't correlate with anything other than being happy
(4) Maintain balance/have a life outside of law school. See above. This can stop you from crumbling under stress, but most people won't crumble under stress.
(5) Get involved with things that interest you/student organizations. No correlation to grades, can only hurt.
(6) Don’t become obsessed with grades/become competitive. See reply to 5. You can be competitive without being an asshole (see eg: Gentlemen of 16th century England.
(7) Relax/try not to stress. This is good.
(8) Maintain a healthy lifestyle (exercise and diet). This is good, but only necessary for people who don't feel themselves without doing so. If fast food and being lazy worked for you in the past, that's better.
(9) Go to your professors’ office hours and ask questions. Neutral. Only do this if you really have questions.
(10) Don’t Facebook/surf the internet during class. You can do whatever you want, just pay attention.

The reason I am applying to law school is to fulfill my dream of working in the music industry. Music has been my life for many years and a law degree is a great way to get into that profession.
There's a doozy of a necessary assumption.

Funny. I was reading this guy's profile today. Fucking heartbreaking. Tried to see if there was a way to track him down. There wasn't. I just do not understand how someone could be so stupid.

It's insane that they're going to take six-figures from the guy knowing that he has almost no shot of ever passing the bar or becoming a lawyer. I mean, his LSAT score is ~11th Percentile.

How do they sleep at night?

How does Bernie Madoff sleep at night? Somehow, these people find a way to do it.

cummings, Madoff, Hitler, and Genghis Khan. I'm picturing Cooley's dean sitting on a throne of skulls, sporting an armband, counting his ill-gotten money.

I read that whole page, and it really seemed to me that the guy is a very elaborate troll. His thoughtfulness, attention to detail, care in responses to comments, vocabulary/grammar, and the general style of the page just doesn't seem to add up to the type of person who scores 139 and has a 3.1.

That sentence about law being a fantastic way to get into the music industry is especially great, and seems like the exact type of satirical post a TLSer would make.

Don't be so sure. Cooley's 25% LSAT was 141 last year.

They really are bottom feeders.

Hmm but it seems an awful lot of work over an extended period of time just to troll. Plus it doesn't seem to be that different from other accounts like it, e.g., http://lawschoolnumbers.com/Niesene

Maybe. I'd be far more inclined to believe that account is real though based on the spelling of "horribal" and other such awful misteaks.

I'm not disputing that in any way.

I just felt that particular profile was too intelligently written to be one of those below Cooley's 25th. Not impossible though.

I thought the same thing. Awfully well written for someone who scores an average of only 6 questions right per section.

I definitely see what you're saying. Could def be a troll. In that case -- 180.

For their sake, I really hope it is.

Agreed as well. Viewed under that light, the music comment is GOLD.
