I applied and was admitted to William Mitchell's hybrid J.D. program in St. Paul, Minnesota.

I have been waiting a long time for this type of opportunity, earning an accredited degree largely online. I plan to attend. Anyone else apply or attending? Anyone meet with officials on campus?

I was told that I could take the bar and practice law in any state, except New York. The reputational issues are a concern but, from reading the press, it seems like this program will be a trend setter.

an out of state online TTT/T degree is like not even on the totem pole

You have got to be joking. No one hires people from a school because an article written three years before they graduated says it's the first school of its type to do something. Labeling a program a "trend setter" is like empty political speech. "How good is the school?" "Oh it's a trend setter." "What's your position on foreign policy?" "Oh I'm a trend setter!" It's utterly devoid content.

This could be a good program for an older working professional who is already established in their field (of say tax accountant) that already lives in St. Paul and wants to throw "JD" on their business card. Other than that, this sounds like a horrible idea. Even if you're that guy described above, it's probably still a horrible idea.
